Enhance safety by working towards improving public safety measures, including the establishment of local police services.

Advocating for support of all community facilities that includes the library and the usage by residents and surrounding communities.   

Due to some city departments’ overspending, there is a need for more transparency in city operations and decision-making processes.  Establishing required monthly expenditures and income from each department will build trust for residents, which could include holding town hall meetings and surveys to gather input on large expenditures. 

Evaluate current tax structures and consider adjustments that promote fairness while ensuring adequate funding for city services, such as the requirements of city residents being mandated to hook up to our city sewer and the costs associated by the residents.      

Develop alternative water sources to elevate current water indebtedness and to provide a backup source of water for emergency situations.

Create programs to support local businesses and attract new ones, by including tax incentives, grants and streamlined permitting processes.

There are several empty buildings that could provide additional benefits to the taxpayers if the facilities were occupied.
